Using Commas, Periods and Paragraphs
If you are wondering when to use a comma, period or paragraph, read your text out loud.
When reading, leave a:
- one-second pause for every comma
- two-second gap for the end of a sentence, and
- four-seconds for the end of a paragraph.
If it sounds natural, you`ve got it right. Otherwise, adjust accordingly. |
