Be careful with out-of-office messages

If you are going away for the holidays, be careful not to let people know this in your "out-of-office" e-mail message. Especially when you've also got your full address in your e-mail signature. Just say that you will not be checking your mail until a given date.

I'm taking the family to Paris for the holidays, so will be out of the country between the 23rd December and 3rd January

There have been recorded cases of spammers using many of the thousands of out-of-office messages they get back to work out when people are away from their homes... then sell this information on to local criminals to pay you a visit.
